To participate in Summer Work Experience, youth must be:
- between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the time of intake/selection;
- have Indian Treaty Status;
- must be registered in full-time secondary or post-secondary academic studies;
- Must return to full-time studies following summer placement;
- a Canadian citizen, permanent resident;
- legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations;
- not in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits;
- in need of assistance to overcome employment barriers.
