Story Jams - 2020 Review

Story Jams have been a place for anyone and everyone to come together and build a community around the power of youth stories. Through sharing stories we have been able to create connections and more fully recognize the potential in each other and ourselves. These events are a space for us to not only listen to storytellers but also be one ourselves. We welcome sharing from everyone, but don't put pressure on people if they are not comfortable with that or moved to do so. We are grateful for all who have shared this experience with us.

Although being hosted online wasn’t what we expected for Story Jams this year, it was a very special place many of us found to connect and learn together. The storytelling, activities and conversations are truly the highlights of our year.

Story Jam - Capturing Your Visions with Danii Kehler

Artist Danii Kehler hosted a Vision Book making Story Jam in April. We heard about the creative process of manifesting your dreams into reality. Read about Danii's process here.

Drive In Story Jam with the Napi Collective and the Nakoda AV Club

TELUS Spark made our dream of a Story Jam Drive-In come true! It was an evening of Indigenous youth storytelling via film, under the stars! Thanks again to the Napi Collective, Nakoda AV Club and Telus Spark!

Our Spooky October Story Jam

We learned how to decorate werewolf cupcakes and heard from youth storytellers Tyra and Pelletier on how they are conquering the monster we call anxiety.

We have a great line up of Story Jam’s coming up in 2021 you will want to make sure you sign up for!
